Autumn Reflection Retreat:
Prophetic Compassion and Service
September 2-7, 2026 | Edmonton, Alberta
Held in the sacred month of Rabi' al-Awwal, the month of the Prophet's ﷺ blessed birth, this retreat invites you to deepen your connection to his example of compassionate service. The Prophet ﷺ was described as "a mercy to all the worlds" (rahmatan lil-'alamin). For caregivers who offer mercy daily, this is a sanctuary to learn from, draw strength from, and embody more fully the Prophetic model of sustainable, heart-centred service.
The Wellspring of Compassion
You draw from a deep well of compassion every day, offering spiritual and emotional support in spaces of pain and crisis. This work is sacred, yet the constant outpouring can leave the well feeling depleted, asking: From where do I replenish my own source?
The weariness that follows sincere giving. The quiet longing for a model of service that is both boundless and sustainable. These are not signs of failing in your duty. They are signs you are being called to return to the ultimate exemplar of mercy (rahmah), the life and character of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His life provides the perfect pattern for compassionate action, profound patience, and the restoration of the soul.
This retreat is your sacred return to the source. A container to immerse in Prophetic wisdom, reflect on the Seerah, and renew the wellspring of your compassion so you may serve with the enduring resilience he embodied.
The Autumn Sanctuary: Reflecting on Prophetic Wisdom
The "Autumn Reflection" retreat is founded on the principle of I'tibar (learning through reflection). In the season of harvest, we turn to the most perfect harvest of character: the life, teachings, and example (Seerah & Sunnah) of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This retreat is a deep immersion into his legacy as the ultimate guide for those who bear the weight of serving others.
We focus on contemplation and application. How did the Prophet ﷺ embody boundless compassion (rahmah) while maintaining profound inner peace? How did he practice patience (sabr) and wisdom (hikmah) in the face of immense hardship? Through guided study of the Seerah and reflective dialogue, we help you draw direct lessons for your own caregiving journey, translating Prophetic virtue into practical, sustainable resilience.
Held in the contemplative days of early autumn, this retreat provides the structured container for this deep study and personal reflection. We create a scholarly yet heartfelt space to connect with the Prophetic example, using guided reflections and healing practices to mend compassion fatigue and renew your spiritual connection to the source of all mercy.
This is about aligning your service with a timeless blueprint. It is about moving beyond theoretical admiration to embodied application, learning to lead, comfort, and heal from a place grounded in the proven wisdom and perfected character of the Prophet ﷺ.
"This retreat is the sacred study that allows caregivers to reflect deeply on the Prophetic example, drawing from his timeless wisdom to renew their compassion, fortify their patience, and return to service with a heart anchored in rahmah and resilience."
A Synthesis of Spiritual Wisdom and Holistic Healing Practice

What Makes This Retreat Different
While many programs offer general self-care, the Autumn Reflection Retreat returns to the primary source for ethical service: the perfected example of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. We facilitate a deep, contemplative engagement with his life (Seerah), weaving timeless narratives of compassion, patience, and wisdom with somatic healing. This creates a unique container to heal compassion fatigue, renew spiritual intention, and build resilience directly from the Prophetic model.
