Honouring the Land and Spirit of Alberta
The healing work offered through Sufi Soul Garden is grounded in sacred presence, remembrance, and reverence.
Whether supporting clients through ruqyah healing in Edmonton or hosting spiritual retreats near Calgary, we recognize that all healing takes place within the context of land that carries memory, story, and spiritual legacy.
We begin by honouring the land itself.
Land Acknowledgement (Edmonton & Calgary)
We acknowledge that Sufi Soul Garden offers healing and retreats on both Treaty 6 and Treaty 7 territories.
Our sessions in Edmonton take place on the traditional lands of the nêhiyawak (Cree), Saulteaux, Dene, Nakota Sioux, and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 4.
Our retreats near Calgary are located within Treaty 7 territory, home to the Niitsítapi (Blackfoot Confederacy), Tsuut’ina Nation, and Stoney Nakoda Nations, as well as the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
We honour the continued presence, resilience, and sacred relationship that Indigenous communities carry with this land.

Why Land Matters in Healing Work
Healing, in its truest form, is never separate from place.
In Sufi tradition, spiritual healing begins with truth. The practice of ruqyah, the use of prophetic herbs, and the rhythm of sacred retreat all unfold within the spirit of the land that holds them.
We believe that healing is not just personal, it is collective, and it is relational.
As guests and settlers on this land, we carry the responsibility of care, humility, and ongoing remembrance.
Our Commitment
Some of the spiritual care I offer has also been shaped by Indigenous teachings from other lands. I carry a Soul Coaching® certification through the work of Denise Linn, a Cherokee healer and teacher based in the United States.
While these teachings are not from the First Nations or Métis communities of Treaty 6 or Treaty 7, I hold them with gratitude and recognize their roots in ancestral Indigenous wisdom.
I offer this with care, while continuing to center the land, voices, and healing traditions of the Indigenous peoples of this region.
You are invited to explore how this intention flows through our offerings:
This acknowledgement is a prayer.
We are committed to unlearning, listening, and walking with integrity in relationship to the lands where this healing work takes place.
As we continue offering spiritual healing sessions in Edmonton and Sufi-inspired retreats across Alberta, we remain in reflection about what it means to practice presence in a way that includes the land and its original stewards.
