The Miracle
Retreat
A 5-day women's spiritual healing retreat rooted in Sufi wisdom, Prophetic medicine, and sacred sisterhood
You show up for everyone. You carry responsibility at home, at work, in your community. You are the one who holds it together.
And somewhere underneath all of that...
Something is happening in your body that rest alone has not been able to fix.
You give generously and beautifully, and you are not sure you know how to receive the same way.
You are longing for a space that does not rush you, measure you, or need anything from you.
Part of you is exhausted by your own strength and quietly wishes someone would hold you for a change.
You feel guilty for needing rest, even though rest is exactly what every part of you is asking for.
This is not weakness.
It is a sign your body, heart, and spirit are ready to receive as much as you give.
Where Your Tenderness Becomes Your Power
Spiritual Grounding
Quranic recitation and heart-opening dhikr (divine remembrance) offered gently and without pressure. Practices rooted in the Sufi tradition to help you release what is weighing on you and create inner space for what wants to come in.
Sacred Receiving
Gentle, guided practices that help you actually receive care rather than simply observe it. Most of us have learned to give and to manage. This work teaches something rarer: how to be held.
Prophetic Medicine
Ancient Islamic herbal and natural healing wisdom with personalised herbal support to help your physical body align with your spiritual healing journey.
Deep Sisterhood
Gather with women who understand what it means to carry invisible burdens. A space for truth-telling, tenderness, and witnessing where your story is held with reverence.
A Sacred Flow
Arrival and Opening Your Heart
Arrive, settle into your private room, and meet your sisters. We open with an intention circle, sacred healing, and divine remembrance to create our sacred agreements and set the tone for everything that follows.
Settling In and Evening Cat Yoga
Morning opens with prayer, breakfast, and our first group check-in — a gentle space to share how you are arriving and what your heart is holding. In the evening we make our way to Regal Cat Cafe in Calgary for cat yoga: a playful, grounding practice in the company of rescue cats and your sisters.
An Inward Day
Today we stay close to home. Inspired by the tradition of the zawiya (a quiet corner set apart from the world), this day is yours for reflection, creative writing, personal practice, and gentle rest. Morning and evening check-ins hold the container. The day moves at your pace.
Into the Mountains
An early start for our fullest day. We drive into Banff for a one-hour horseback ride along the Bow River, a halal buffet lunch, time to wander the town, and a gentle walk through Johnston Canyon (the gift shop and ice cream are an equally welcome option). We end with your choice of the hot springs or the Banff Gondola, then drive home, hopefully beneath the northern lights.
Rest, Recover, and the Bonfire
After the fullness of Saturday, today asks nothing of you. Sleep in, journal, pray, or simply be. In the evening, weather permitting, we gather around the bonfire to reflect on the week together and hold what has moved in us before our final day begins.
A Soulful Meal
Our closing day is rooted in Prophetic medicine. We explore your individual temperament, discover the herbs and foods that support your unique constitution, and then cook a shared meal that carries the healing of the week into your body and sends you home nourished. Depart Monday evening or Tuesday morning, in your own time.
I was equal parts hopeful and skeptical that this retreat would actually help me feel closer to Allah and the deen. As it turns out, it may have been the best investment I made in myself all year.Sabra • Toronto
I feel like an embodied being again and I have not felt that in a long time. The signs Allah showed us, I have never witnessed before in my life and every moment was perfect.
Retreat ParticipantI thank God and Khadijah for providing a safe space to discover areas in my heart to work on healing. I found my joy again. Change starts from your heart.

You can attend the in-person retreat with or without the virtual journey, but the combination is our most powerful container.

Questions You May Hold
Yes. This retreat was born from a prayer for healing during breast cancer. All practices are gentle and adaptable to where you are. Prophetic medicine offers constitutional support tailored to your healing journey.
Absolutely. This retreat welcomes women of all backgrounds. Whether you are Muslim, a new convert, or simply drawn to heart-centred healing, all terms and practices are explained and you will find a welcoming space.
Most retreats focus on productivity or fixing yourself. This retreat honours exactly where you are and creates the conditions for natural healing to unfold. We blend Sufi practices, prophetic medicine, and gentle body-aware practices rooted in the heart. This is about receiving the divine love you have been giving to everyone else.
Everything is optional and adaptable. Your body's wisdom guides your experience. There is no pressure to do it all. Need to rest while others hike? That is honoured.
Yes. Flexible payment plans up to 6 months. Limited need-based scholarships are available. We do our best to never turn away a woman who is meant to be here because of finances.
Because miracles are not always dramatic. Sometimes the miracle is learning to rest without guilt. Receiving love without earning it. Recognizing you are not broken, just exhausted. Finding sisters who see you. That is what we hold space for.
The Miracle Is in the Receiving
